Poker Hands Ranking
Weakest to the strongest
Only after you've learned the value of each playable card combination you'll be able to fully enjoy the poker game. The following chart shows and explains each one of them, from weakest to strongest.
High card / Kicker
You have a "High Card" when, unfortunately, no better combination has come out at the end of the game.
You will also use the high card as a tiebeaker when more than one player hold the same combination. It is then called the Kicker.
One Pair
When two out of the five cards have the same rank you will a Pair. Pairs rank from the pair of Aces down to the pair of twos.
Two Pair
Two sets of same-rank cards form a Two Pair.
Three of a Kind
You have Three of a Kind when three out of five cards have the same rank You can also call it a Set.
Straight
When the five cards are in numerical sequence, you call it a Straight.
Flush
If you don't have a numerical sequence but all five cards are of the same suit, then you have a Flush.
Full House
The combination of Three of a Kind and One Pair.
Four of a Kind
If you have four cards of the same rank, then you call it Four of a Kind.
Straight Flush
You have a Straight Flush if your five cards are of the same suite and form a numerical sequence. It is basically a Straight and Flush together.
Royal Flush
This is the strongest hand in the ranking, consisting of a Straight Flush in its highest combination: 10-J-Q-K-A.
